Evernote is an excellent note taking app, which is a great way to store information on DIY-trips.

Packing (+TO DO) makes packing and pre-travel to-do lists a piece of cake. You can create custom lists and store them for future use.

TripIt Pro allows you to email your travel information to into the cloud and it provides you with an organised itinerary for your trip. It will also alert you of gate changes for your flight.
